Users should see how they get their final result before they invest time in the tool.
Local beats uploaded.
Browser APIs, WebAssembly, canvas, and client-side file handling are preferred whenever the job can reasonably run on the user's device.
Limits are stated early.
Large files, slow conversions, browser memory limits, and format caveats are product facts, not excuses for a paywall at the end.
Privacy claims stay specific.
Each tool should say what happens locally, what is stored, and whether anything ever leaves the browser.

Local-first does not mean magic.
Some jobs are heavy.
Video conversion, OCR, and large document processing can be slower in a browser than on a dedicated server. The tradeoff is that your files can stay on your device.
Some outputs need testing.
QR colors, transparent backgrounds, compressed videos, and document formats can depend on where they are used. Freely tools should help you spot those risks.
Free means complete.
Freely is not a teaser tier. A tool may be small, but the shipped workflow should be complete enough to finish the promised task.
